2016 QCA National Issues Conference

Georgia-SMACNA representatives met with Congressman Woodall at the 2016 QCA National Issues Conference that took place May 10-12, 2016. The main topics of interest for this year’s QCA Conference included: Multi-employer Composite Plans, National Infrastructure Investment, Misclassification/Payroll Fraud, Comprehensive Energy Policy , The POWER Act, and Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Wage Law.

Field and Project Management Seminar

Stephane McShane with Maxim Consulting Group spoke at Georgia-SMACNA’s Field and Project Management Seminar on March 1-2, 2016 at the Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina, Atlanta, Georgia. On March 1st, Stephane presented on SMACNA’s Supervisory programs “Project Planning & Leadership” and “Productivity & Time Management.” On March 2nd, she presented on SMACNA’s Education program, “Cracking the ‘WIP,'” which involved cost projection discussions and activities.

2016 Legislative Reception

Georgia-SMACNA participated in the 2016 Legislative Reception on Wednesday, January 13th. Those who attended on behalf of Georgia-SMACNA had the opportunity to meet several of the state representatives and senators. In addition, a few had the opportunity to speak directly with the Secretary of State, Brian Kemp. Overall, the event was a success!

SMACNA Supervisory Training Academy
